Days for first visit?

I'm going to visit the second week of March for 3/4 nights. I'm wondering if you would recommend staying mostly on weekend nights or maybe wednesday/ thurday into the weekend?

I'd recommend staying Wednesday thru the weekend for maximum pleasure with'em hotties!

In my book, Thursdays are the best weekday night for 'rack operations' (hat tip to tomjackin)!

at this point, if you dare the speakeasies and girls who stand in the alley I think the weekends are better.  Th - Sun

If you are not visiting the speakeasies it really doesn't matter since you will be seeing call girls. \

One thing is certain, you don't go to the zona these days to party,  I believe.  There may be others here who have a different view.

Best days are Wednesday/Thursday.  A lot of chicas will take Sunday/Monday/or/Tuesday off and get back into the saddle on Wednesday and Thursday, so the number of chicas is high, but the weekend warriors from out of town and LA haven't come down yet for their trips so there aren't as many customers as on a weekend. Same in the club and during speakeasy season, Wed/Thur have a weekend vibe in the speakeasy but they're not so packed with customers.

If I was doing a 3 night trip and day of the week didn't matter, I'd do Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and go home Saturday.

If I was doing a 4 night trip and day of the week didn't matter, I'd probably do Tue-Fri with a Saturday return home, but I could just as easily see doing Wed-Sat nights with a Sunday return home

We are talking as in now in pandemic season.  I am thinking normal rules don't apply at this time.

Ok, I think I'll do wed-sat. I don't want to book multiple hotels,  is hotel Cascades to "seedy" to stay  for several days? I don't mind if its loud but how well kept are the rooms?

Regardless, these are young women who like to make their dinero during the week and blow it partying on the weekends!!!

You might enjoy the Rizo D'Oro hotel more as they do have newly remodelled rooms.

Seedy??? :crying: The whole area is Seedy!

Yes, it is loud with women wearing those loud hooker shoes and doors slamming. But, it is central in the seedy area. Front/back entrances, alley, and restaurant (Azul).

Looking forward to the trip report! :dancin_banana:

Cascadas rooms are clean and well kept. If you plan on spending most of your time in Hong Kong's speakeasy, it's the most convenient.

Note that if you plan to see escorts from an agency, you'll need to get another hotel or motel outside the zona. There are short time love models for this.

As far as the days go, I hate weekends with a passion. But everyone needs to see Hong Kong on a Saturday night at least once in their life.

My best day is Sunday. Wednesday and Thursday are next. But with the available flights and saving vacation days, Saturday-Wednesday is my normal schedule.

Cascadas and Rizo are well-kept hotels with amenities: toiletries, WiFi, a/c, tv, front door security, plenty of extra towels sheets and pillow available for a $1 or two tip. They’ll also redo the bed for you every day with new sheets if that’s what you want and you tip them for it. Both charge a $30 deposit fee that is returned on checkout if you don’t use the minibar in the room. If you’re staying in a zona hotel, they will probably be well above whatever your current impressions of a zona hotel are.

Rizo is quieter and the checkout process is quicker but the checkin can take a while if it’s busy and you’re not guaranteed one of the “newest remodeled rooms” but they’re all fine rooms ... Cascadas costs a slight bit more, a lot more walking since you’ll probably be out on the 7th 8th or 9th floor while Rizo puts you at entry level (2nd floor), it’s louder, it has a extra locking mechanism on the doors that Rizo doesn’t have, Azul Restaurant is inside the hotel and the location is better with entrances in the front and back where the alley is.

normally for newbies I’d say pick Cascadas because it’s ground zero for Hong Kong, but in speakeasy season that doesn’t really mean as much IMO. With it not being the bars, you should feel freer to walk around to the other speakeasy’s than you would as a newbie going to the different bars.

If you plan on trying out a street girl during your trip, probably just go Cascadas because it will be easier to get one to go there. If you’re going to keep it strictly bars, make the decision on being in a party hotel (Cascadas) or a quieter hotel (Rizo). A girl in the HK speakeasy will probably mount a mini hissy fit but she’ll go to Rizo, and vice versa for Tropical girls going to Cascadas.

You are all giving a normal year suggestions.  I did not see posts related to this specific pandemic situation.  I can only guess how things would be since I have not been there since last Feb.  e.g,  people post here the Club closes during the weekdays.  Is Adelita open at all?  Weekdays have been calmer over the years, now we read not enough clients show up and the American dick has dwindled in number even in the weekends.  So then, I have to assume weekdays,  M-W would be a dead zone and even Thursdays are questionable.

Anyone who knows can address this specifically?

Other than the fact that the bars are operating out of the speakeasies, I haven't seen any difference in timing. Mondays and Tuesdays are still slow. Fridays and Saturdays are still banging. I haven't been on a Thursday since the COVID hit.

The Club has been open every time I have stopped in, including Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening. I've been told that it is not always open, but I've not seen it closed yet.

2 of the 3 times I checked out The Club it hasn't been open. I usually go to ZN Mondays and Tuesdays during the afternoon.

The biggest thing to me is Zona Norte isn't fun to hang out in right now if you aren't looking for a girl. If you want to just chill with a beer and watch a girl dance to get naked, it is kinda lame.

The Club when I went was better. HK when it opens the 10th floor next month will hopefully bring back the HK strip club.

Though with cases dropping like a rock, I expect the full bars to reopen soon.

It's definitely erratic. It was open this week during the day on Sunday and Monday (on Monday there were no guys in there at all that I could see, so I have no idea why it was open; I left immediately). It was open Sunday evening but I didn't check Monday night. I haven't been by today but will pop in tonight after my date.

My first time back to the zona after COVID was in January and I met a girl there on Saturday night. I was too tired to take her up but asked if she would be working the next day. She said yes, but the Club would be closed and she would be in the speakeasy. But just to check she asked a bartender. He said the Club would be open on Sunday, and she was surprised. It was open on Sunday afternoon and evening, and Monday, and Tuesday. I got the impression that they decide on a day-to-day basis.

The upstairs (3rd floor) or Rizo de Oro is nice. They've added an open bar-like area and there are girls dancing and seats around the stage. It's almost like an old club. And of course The Club at Coahuila is decent. But I totally get what you are saying. The speakeasies are not set up as a nice place to hang and watch the girls. It could be fun if you were with a bunch of friends and could have a room to yourselves with a bunch of girls. Almost like a VIP party room. But for one or two guys hanging out for the evening, it's no fun to me.

Normally I would advise a newbie to go during the week because it is cheaper and mas tranquilo.  However, during the plague, probably Thursday - Sunday is best.  That is assuming you are hanging out in the bars.

All I can say is HK ATF #4 is constantly complaining about there being too many girls and too few clients in the HK speakeasy.  Whether that is her trying to elicit sympathy from me in order to hopefully extract money from me (hasn't worked yet in over a year) or the true reality of the 7th floor, I don't know for sure.

Lol, I love how no matter what they say it has to be seen through the lens of "How's she trying to shake me down by saying this?"

Well I went mid January during the pandemic.  Was there Thursday and Friday night, and both the Club and 7th floor were alive and kicking.  That said, now that the clubs are open, this is a moot point.  Let's just hope the clubs remain open for good this time!
