There are some of you who've been on here nearly since the beginning, why don't you ever contribute?

Some of us who share on this site will sometimes wonder why Lurkers are on here but not interacting.

You don't need to Lurk anymore, there are so many different topics, haven't you found at least one thing to talk about?

"If you See something, Say something"

Please make your Virgin-post in this thread and help us understand you.

If you're not going to post, take some advice from @TexO and at least give an Amigo a LIKE.  If you're on a phone, it's the little button at the bottom of every post and looks like this:

I lurk simply because I have nothing to say. When I do go on trips, I post pics and maybe do a report, but I don't go as often as other amigos here, I'm afraid I might spoil myself and regular civvies here won't cut it anymore. To me, La Zona is a pocket dimension of fun and pleasure I visit every now and then when I need a break from reality. I was more active on TJA, though,  but that's because I was a noob back then and I had a lot of questions.

I may need a break from reality soon, though... maybe next week, I'll keep you guys posted.

Mucho respect to TT's post and reasoning.  All things I'm moderation, even excess.  His fears of over-stimulation and loss of equilibrium are well placed.  Though, as pointed out, there is a difference between being an amigo who chooses to post sparingly and a lurker.

I suspect that lurkers lurker out of caution.  I can just see that wife and the careless husband who thinks she doesn't know about his secret tablet, and that two hour period when she is home alone where she pieces together her husband's secret life through his heroic avatar's posts.  Or I see a paranoid fantasy of some sort of Ashley.com hack, and now friends and neighbors, even enployers find out.  It takes a small amount of faith to post, though really our anonymity is quite safe as long as a few basic precautions are taken.

Being a Bear i do not have much social status in the USA!!  I am comfortable hiking through the forest; and then i go south to Tijuana for diversion!!  I tell it like i see it; and i am not married; so i do not worry about what my wife thinks of me!!

LIFE IS ENJOYABLE AS A BEAR- HAPPY- HEALTHY- CAREFREE-BEING GRATEFUL WHEN A BUSHEL OF BLACKBERRIES COMES MY WAY- IT IS ALL GREAT AND FUN!!

I think " lurker" has a negative connotation. I looked up the synonyms for lurker and words like creep and thief came up.

May I suggest, maybe extranjero. Fantasma. Amigo Misterio.

In TJ I've heard the phrase "Bueno para nada", but that's reserved for Tijuana's finest.

I know I'm being PC and I hate myself for this, but it's just my opinion. Mi dos pesos if you will.

Also, while I'm on the topic of nomenclature, I object , in fact, I'm mildly offended with my designation as a Novato. Maybe in the grand scheme of all things TJ, I'm a rookie. I'm no R1, but I know my way around TJ and the Zona.

Maybe there should be a naked chica pic requirement to get an automatic promotion. You post a pic, boom, promoted to Master Monger. Or something like this.

Again, mi dos pesos.

...well the mods didn't accept my "nomenclature" recommendation for assigning the title to some:  Pinche Pendejo.

I agree, lurker sounds like a creep.  Maybe Amigo Reservado?

Or Amigo Escondido?

Amigos poco llamativos?

I used to post quite a bit in the old site(TJA), and once in a while I posted some pictures of the chicas I've spent some time with. But alas, some pendejo(s) outted me and showed the chicas their pictures from TJA.

I had a different name(handle??) on TJA and I admit am just being (very) cautious here on TijuanaTalk.

The blonde is Meriya but she has a different name in an escort site. The dark haired girl is Brenda( when she was an SG). Her name in HK club eludes me at the moment.

My 2 cents...

I think its good to contribute to something that you are getting value from.

I understand how someone who is new may feel like they have little to contribute compared to the TJ vets. I have often felt that way as I have only been coming to TJ for a little over a year now.

But even if you are new, and know little about TJ, you can still take a picture of a street scene, review the food at restaurant or just share what your experience was like during a trip. Then there are the numerous threads on music, news etc...I would think anyone would find something they could add to here.

I also understand how someone may be scared to post for fear of being outed or found out by a wife, employer etc..But I think those risks could be mitigated by taking certain precautions. Plus, by browsing the site it is already in your search history...so might as well contribute something.

I really like this community. Even like the posters who like to play intellectual tennis. You, know hitting the ball (a point or opinion) back and forth in the rally until someone gets tired or misses. It's good mental exercise. Nothing more nothing less.

Well, I don't get to Tijuana that much either, but I doubt you would consider me a lurker. In fact I could point to many posts from others that indicate to me they would prefer that I BECAME a lurker. To those I say: I'll be posting to my very last keystroke. What does Biggie have to say about it:

Where you at? Flipping jobs, paying car notes?
While I'm swimming in the TJ chicas like the breast stroke
Right stroke, left stroke was the best stroke
Deep stroke, tongue all down her throat!

And like Luda says:

I'm never going nowhere so don't try me

My posts stick in your veins like an IV

I don't think of myself as a lurker.. I just take a hiatus from the board when I don't have a trip booked for a while, which could be anywhere from a month to a few months. My reasoning for this is that I don't like to get my hopes up and start missing ZN when my trip is still a ways away.

But like a few others who have chimed in here, you do post as evidenced by your post count and rep points.  :Red-Wink:

We don't expect Amigos who only make it down every once in a while to be posting weekly or anything.   But we do have quite a few who have joined and regularly login though they don't post or even drop a rep point for the posters.... :head_wall:

Yes samps, start a new trip report thread for your Epic journey through HK.  There'll be a flood of new posts from the Lurkers soon and we might miss it if you posted it here.              :coverlaugh:

I love TJ, I only wished I lived closer.  I mean I live close enough, about a 2 hour drive but it's still not as close as SD or Oceanside.

I am very surprised lurkers don't take the opportunity to ask more questions about the game/place/experience.. I'm a complete newb when it comes to TJ, my first time EVER going was back in August 2018.  So all of this is still very new to me but I am learning quick!
